About Georgia Doggy Dojo
Every dog deserves the opportunity to succeed, and every owner deserves honest guidance.
We specialize in customized board-and-train programs designed to help dogs develop reliable obedience, improved manners, and healthier behavioral patterns in real-world environments. Our programs serve dogs of all breeds, ages, and backgrounds, including family companions, rescue dogs, and high-drive working breeds.
Unlike high-volume facilities that rely on standardized training packages, Georgia Doggy Dojo focuses on individualized training plans tailored to the unique needs of each dog and household. We intentionally maintain limited enrollment to ensure every dog receives the time, attention, and consistency necessary to achieve meaningful results.
Our training philosophy centers on clear communication, accountability, fairness, and consistency. We believe that successful training extends beyond teaching commands—it involves building confidence, establishing structure, and creating lasting habits that improve everyday life for both dogs and their owners.
Whether a family is struggling with leash pulling, reactivity, anxiety, poor impulse control, household manners, or more complex behavioral challenges, our goal remains the same: provide practical solutions that produce reliable, lasting results.
At Georgia Doggy Dojo, dogs are not treated as numbers or kennel spaces. Each dog is evaluated as an individual, each training plan is customized, and each owner receives the education necessary to maintain progress long after their dog returns home.
Our mission is to create well-mannered, confident dogs while helping owners build stronger, more enjoyable relationships with their canine companions.

Samantha Schmidt
Lead Trainer & Co-Founder
Dogs have never been a hobby for me—they've been a lifelong passion, a career, and a calling.
My journey into professional dog training began with a fascination for canine behavior and a desire to help owners build better relationships with their dogs. Over the years, that passion evolved into Georgia Doggy Dojo, a training program dedicated to helping dogs and their owners achieve lasting success through structure, communication, and consistency.
I have worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, and backgrounds, from energetic family companions and rescue dogs learning to trust again to high-drive working breeds requiring advanced training and behavior modification. While every dog is different, one thing remains constant: successful training starts with understanding the individual dog in front of you.
Many of the clients who come to me feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or unsure where to turn next. Some have tried multiple trainers. Others have spent countless hours watching videos, reading articles, and following conflicting advice. My goal is to provide clear guidance, realistic expectations, and a training plan tailored to both the dog and the family.
I believe that training should create clarity, confidence, and reliability. Dogs thrive when expectations are consistent, communication is fair, and owners are equipped with the tools needed to maintain success long after the training program ends.
When I'm not working with clients, I remain deeply involved in the dog world through training, breeding, and raising Dutch Shepherds under my kennel, Fabergé Hollandse Herdershond. My experience with both companion dogs and working dogs has shaped a balanced perspective that allows me to help a wide variety of dogs and owners achieve their goals.
At the end of the day, my mission is simple: help dogs become easier to live with, help owners feel confident again, and build relationships that last a lifetime.
